Video Processor Repair service for Elite Video BVP-4, BVP-4 plus Video Processors

Let us bring life back to your old video processor! Our technician has over 20 years experience in the audio-visual fields, and can restore/repair most bad video processors.

We clean and repair the following:

any bad control potentiometers; bad s-video or RCA connectors; ripple running up through picture (most noticeable on the "split-screen" line; intermittent white crackling lines in video (noticeable when you tap a knob, or slowly turn a knob)

Replacement parts, when required, are included in this fee.

Not covered under this repair: circuit board damage from abuse; circuit board damage caused by using the wrong power supply.

Cabinet and knobs are also cleaned. Power supply is checked for correct operation. Includes 1 hr. burn-in (test of all functions for an hour) to ensure correct operation.

Note:  We do not repair units that have been disassembled and are in pieces;
units that have parts missing; or units that have obvious signs of physical abuse.

How this BVP-4 repair works:

1. In the message box below, give us the model # and serial number of the unit you'll be sending us for repair. Any details relating to the problem will also be helpful.

2. Select this repair service and read the agreement at the bottom of this page.

3. Pay for this repair charge through our checkout. At the checkout you also pay for the return shipping to your home. You are also responsible for paying the shipping charges when you send the BVP-4 to us.

4. After we have received your payment we will e-mail you the address in Lodi, OH where you should send the unit. (You will receive this email within a few hours after your order is processed)

5. Package your unit safely, be sure to include the power supply unit. Wrap the power supply separately from the processor, this helps avoid scratching the processor during shipping. Several layers of bubble wrap around the video processor are suggested. Use a heavy box about 20" x 12" x 8". (bubble wrap and packing boxes are available at Wal-Mart) Once the bubble wrapped unit is inside the box, there should be at least 2" space all around the unit. Fill any extra space with packing beads or crumpled newspapers. Please remember, during shipment the box may get turned upside down, bounced around and bumped. It's best to pack it well! Insurance is recommended.

6. Take the package to your carrier of choice. You are responsible for the cost of mailing us the unit.

7. When your unit arrives at TGrant Photo, you will receive an email confirming acceptance, along with the anticipated repair date for your unit. Depending on our workload, the repair process usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Equipment Service Agreement:

Repair Service Agreement for the above listed electronic equipment, hereinafter referred to as the "Unit".

We will repair and fully test your Unit, as outlined in the above repair description. Our repairs are guaranteed for a period of 90 days from receipt of your Unit. If you need to return your Unit under the warranty period you must contact us first to obtain an R/A number (see below) You must pay any shipping charges related to a warranty repair.

You can expect the repair to be completed and your Unit shipped back to you within approximately 14 business days* from the time we receive your Unit. *Depending on our workload, some repair times may vary. Seasonal volume or repairs requiring special parts may add additional time.

The TGrant Photo, LLC repair facility may repair your Unit or exchange it for a new or refurbished Unit of the same model. Please note that recovered, remanufactured, repaired and/or recycled parts may be used in connection with such repair.

TGrantPhoto, LLC provides the following 90 day limited warranty. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the Unit repair. A repaired Unit shipped to another address after original delivery does not qualify for return, refund or warranty service.

Please note that any warranty services or questions must be accompanied by the order number from the transaction through which the warranted repair product was purchased. The order number serves as your warranty number and must be retained. TGrant Photo, LLC will offer no warranty service without this number.
TGrant Photo, LLC   warrants this product and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days labor and 90 days parts from the original ship date. During this period, TGrantPhoto, LLC will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at TGrantPhoto's option, without charge to you.

All shipping fees both to and from TGrant Photo, LLC during this 90-day period must be paid by the customer. All returns, both during the 90-day period, must be affected via the Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service described below.
All original parts (parts installed by TGrant Photo, LLC at the original equipment refurbish) replaced by TGrant Photo, LLC   or its authorized service center, become the property of TGrant Photo, LLC . Any after-market additions or modifications will not be warranted. The Unit owner is responsible for the payment, at current rates, for any service or repair outside the scope of this limited warranty.
TGrant Photo, LLC makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to this computer other than as set forth below. TGrant Photo, LLC  makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.
Except as provided below, TGrant Photo, LLC  is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use or inability to use the repaired equipment. Under no circumstances shall TGrant Photo, LLC be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of a similar reconditioned Unit.
The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.


Warranty Conditions
The above Limited Warranty is subject to the following conditions:
    This warranty extends only to the repaired Unit, serial number of which is attached to the completed repair order. It is effective only if the Unit repair was purchased and operated in the USA. (Within the USA including US 48 States, Alaska and Hawaii.)
    This warranty covers only normal use of the Unit. TGrant Photo. LLC  shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) disasters such as fire, flood, lightning or improper electric current; or (iii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized TGrant Photo, LLC representative; (iv) damages incurred through irresponsible use, including those resulting from improper servicing or other non-recommended practices.
    You must retain your bill of sale or other proof of purchase to receive warranty service.
    No warranty extension will be granted for any replacement part(s) furnished to the purchaser in fulfillment of this warranty.
    TGrant Photo, LLC accepts no responsibility for any videotapes or any parts of any products returned for repair to TGrant Photo, LLC .

 

Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service
RMA (Returning Merchandise Authorization) Policy:
If repairs are required, the customer must obtain a RMA number and provide proof of purchase. RMA and services are rendered by TGrant Photo, LLC only. Any shipping costs on any item returned for repair is the customers’ responsibility. All returned Units must have a RMA number written clearly on the outside of the package along with a letter detailing the problems and a copy of the original proof of purchase. No COD packages will be accepted. No package will be accepted without a RMA number written on the outside of the package. RMA numbers are only valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Should you have any problems with your repaired Unit, please follow these procedures to obtain the service:
1. If the Unit must be repaired, a RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) will be issued for shipment to our repair department. Please follow the instructions given by TGrant Photo, LLC  technical support staff to ship your computer. TGrant Photo, LLC   will not accept any shipments without a RMA number.
2. Pack the Unit in its original box or a well-protected box, as outlined in the Return Shipping Instructions. TGrant Photo, LLC   will not be responsible for shipping damage/loss of any product outside the original 90-day TGrant Photo, LLC  warranty period. It is very important that you write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package. Ship the Unit with a copy of your bill of sale or other proof of purchase, your name, address, phone number, description of the problem(s), and the RMA number you have obtained to:

3. Upon receiving the Unit, TGrant Photo, LLC  will repair or replace Unit (at TGrantPhoto's discretion) and will ship it back to you within 3 weeks (dependent on parts availability) via USPS.
4. All shipping fees both for under warranty and post warranty repairs are the sole responsibility of the customer. The customer also assumes full liability for losses or damages resulting from shipping as well as all responsibility to pursue remuneration for such issues with their selected carrier.

After 90 Day Warranty – Post Warranty Repair
For post warranty repair, the procedure is the same as outlined above for RMA and shipping. However, you are responsible current labor charges, the current price of part(s) used in repair, abd the cost of shipping charges both to and from TGrant Photo, LLC.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
TGrant Photo, LLC  does not offer technical support for any computer/DVD/HDD capture related issues. Technical support should be pursued through channels offered by the capture device's individual tech support. TGrant Photo, LLC   accepts no liability for problems caused by after-market hardware modifications or additions. TGrant Photo, LLC  is not responsible for loss of video information or time, even with hardware failure. TGrant Photo, LLC   is not responsible for any loss of work (“down time”) caused by a product requiring service. This warranty is null and void if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting from operation not within manufacturer specifications. It will also be null and void if there are indications of misuse and/or abuse. TGrant Photo, LLC has the option of voiding the warranty if anyone other than a TGrant Photo, LLC   technician attempts to service the product. TGrant Photo, LLC  will not warrant any problems arising from an act of God (lighting, flooding, tornado, etc.), electrical spikes or surges, or problems arising out of additional devices added to complement any Unit bought at TGrantPhoto . Under no circumstances will TGrantPhoto be responsible for any refund or remuneration exceeding the original purchase price of the repair service less any shipping fees. TGrantPhoto  will not be held responsible for typographical errors on sales receipts, repair tickets, or on our website. TGrantPhoto  makes every effort to make sure all information on our website is correct.
